Established in April 2013, the Slattery School of Irish Dance is owned and operated by Elaine Slattery, TCRG.  Classes are offered to boys and girls, age 4 and up, from Beginner through Championship.  Classes began in Hackettstown, NJ in April of 2013 and shortly thereafter, due to popular demand, Elaine opened a second location in Mendham, NJ in May 2013.  In March of 2017,  we celebrated the opening of our very own studio, Slattery Irish Dance, in Hackettstown, NJ.

At our school, we have classes that accommodate any level of dancer; from the very beginners to those who are competitors.  Whichever level your child is at, we know they are unique.  This is why we go to great lengths to find the learning style that is best suited for each student.  During class, the students will learn the importance of hard work, dedication and good sportsmanship, all while fostering a sense of family through the positive, nurturing class environment.

In just four short years, the Slattery School has flourished tremendously.  We have produced both recreational and competitive Irish dancers, including National and Regional Solo and Team Championship Medalists.  We are so proud of all the accomplishments of our dancers so far and look forward to many more in the future.

In addition to competitive solo and ceili Irish dancing, Slattery School Irish dancers take great pride in representing their school and sharing their love of Irish dancing with those in our community and surrounding areas.   They march in a number of parades throughout the year, including the Morristown and Hackettstown St. Patrick's Day Parades, the Morris Plains Memorial Day Parade and the Mendham Fourth of July and Labor Day Parades, just to name a few.  They also perform at local nursing homes, schools, community festivals and carnivals, multi-cultural nights, church socials and various other events and functions year round.   If considering booking us for your next event, please visit our Performances page above, for further information. β€‹

Above all, the ultimate goal of the Slattery School is to promote the Irish culture in the form of Irish dance and to truly create an environment where all dancers and their families can form new friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.  At our school, we are a family and we teach more than just Irish dancing...we teach respect, kindness, good sportsmanship,  camaraderie and friendship.  The fun we've had, the bonds established, experiences we've shared and memories we've made, have shaped us into the Slattery Irish Dance family we've become.  I'm so thankful for all of our families and for the support of my own family throughout this journey and I'm so excited to see what the future holds for the Slattery School of Irish Dance!!
